Julia’s senior portrait session was as colorful as she is. As a stage manager for her high school’s top notch drama department, she has a flare for the dramatic and didn’t mind wearing a vintage bathing cap I happen to have in the trunk of my car! She’s also a budding entrepreneur running a unique ice cream truck business with her sister and on her way to college in the fall. The whole family joined us for this colorful shoot at a few south Austin locations — the Graffiti Park at Castle Hills, Butler Park and taking in local color on South 1st.

Alejandra and Jared enjoy their life on the east side of Austin and I got to, too, when I shot their engagement photos a couple of weeks ago. We started at their home, caught the commuter train to East 6th to the bar where they first met, and explored a cool community garden. They’ll tie the knot in December!

This small wedding took place in late August at Chapel Dulcinea just south of Austin.  The sun was high and hot and the guests were joyful. Congratulations to Granyon, Kevin and their blended family!
